Just watched it, great premise but breaks down near the end

In anticipation for the HBO series I decided to watch Westworld, it started out fine enough with an interesting and promising premise but broke down in the last half hour. The introduction to the setting and some of what the guests do to "get into it" was good fun, but the movie got really stupid and even boring in the last half an hour. Peter just runs away panicked for the last 30 minutes and acts beyond illogical, having had a lot more promising chances to kill the robot than wait on a service table with acid in his hands, and even after he threw acid in his face or set him on fire he someone doesn't think to pick up a blunt object or a sword and finish the job, instead deciding to continue running about like a headless chicken.

You mean casually strolling away, though, right? ;)

Caught this from about the middle as a kid one night when I stayed up late probably on the or USA network that had to be around 30 years ago haven't seen it since but I loved what I did see I was very excited when I found out HBO was remaking it figuring someone would end up showing the original I hope it's as good as I remember
