I never heard of a Nurutu snake before!

In a couple scenes, Kristina Stoner(or whatever her first name was) goes to the post office or shipping office to buy a rare poisonous snake called a "Nurutu".
I wonder if there really is such a snake species called that. I think I'll look it up in WikiPedia!

It was suspose to be a urutu (bothrops alternatus). Range SE brazil N Argentina,Uruguay and Paraguay. The venom generally caues extensive tissue damage, but is not often fatal-Living snakes of the world-John Mchrtens.

Thank you for the info and correcting me on the spelling! No wonder I couldn't find it on Wikipedia!
