Ok, I know his name isn't listed ANYWHERE on the credits, but... does anyone else thing this movie was scripted by Stephen King?

hey, what's better than this site to know if this movie was scripted by
Stephen King or not? Fully check the movie data, if you don't find him listed there you can be sure he had nothing to do with it.
IMDB has an incredible accuracy found nowhere else. ^_^

besides this movie was made in 1973, and i am not posotive, but i dont even think stephen king had even published his first book by that time. besides if stephen king had scripted this in any way it would have been much much better, i see absolutely no corrolation between kings work and this movie. on the other hand if some horror writer was involved with this movies script at all it could have been john saul, he is a terrible writer.

He hadn't his first book was printed in 1974

Put Stephen King's name on something and watch 'em fly out of the stores!
Seriously, if Stephen King had had anything to do with this movie, wouldn't his name be plastered all over the video/DVD?
I can't see any movie company missing out on that cash-producing opportunity.

Actually, I think Stephen published "Carrie" around that time. I highly doubt that He had anything to do with this movie. But the producers were Richard Zanuck and David Brown, who also produced "Jaws".

No, at the time Stephen King was struggling to complete Carrie while working two jobs, at a gas station and a laundramat.
