The Truth SPOILERS

Does anyone else love movie's ultimate irony, that Marlowe wasted so much time and got into so much troubles looking for the truth when everyone just kept telling him what truly happened and he refused to believe it?

How many times does someone tell Marlowe that Terry killed his wife in the movie?

When he shoots Terry dead, I feel it's just inevitable. After all he went through for his friend, it couldn't end any other way.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

Reminds me of Reservoir Dogs, where one character forms a bond with another and trusts and defends him to the end. I can't imagine thoughts of vengeance that must follow that kind of betrayal.
