Loved this movie as a kid...
I saw this when I was 10 or 11 and I thought it was great. Can't believe that so many don't like it. Would I think differently now that I am much older?

shareI always loved this one just because of how odd and bizarre it was.
shareI wasn't a big fan for a long time but it's grown on me over time. Possibly might make my top 10 now. Weirdly, one of the reasons why I like it now is one of the reasons why I dislike Diamonds Are Forever - it looks like a cheap B movie.
It didn't suit DAF. That had an ambitious plot and sci-fi elements. It was crying out for a bigger budget. But here because it's just Bond trying to bring down a drug dealer while paying homage to Blaxploitation movies, I think it suits it. Add in the voodoo/supernatural elements, Bond often in run down, gritty looking neighbourhoods, a lot of humour, a mostly black cast, and a pre-credits sequence that Bond isn't even part of, and you get a unique and often bizarre Bond film that I find really enjoyable now.
Oh, and a great theme song of course.
