Early in the film, Blake tells two women that he won a bet by naming the first screen pairing of Alan Ladd & William Bendix. Blake proudly announces it was BLUE DAHLIA. Only problem: DAHLIA was released in 1946 and THE GLASS KEY (also starring Ladd & Bendix) came out in 1942.
How in the world did no one catch this during production???!!!
Or . . . it was done on purpose. Why would the screenwriter do that?
