Wilbur

I liked the movie....when wilbur wasn't crying, or when he wasn't talking, or when he wasn't present in the scenes at all. I hated his character in the movie...totally different from the book, mainly because wilbur cried too much.

The line from the book that still sticks in my head abou Wilbur was "Oh honestly!" And Wilbur was crying again, for the second time in two days.

Yeahh! I was completely surprised after reading the book that Wilbur never cried! The cartoon just ruined EB White's classic for me.

Hanna-Barbera!!! WHY?!

Along with the aforementioned scenes, I couldn't stand the scenes with Wilbur as a baby pig. Wanted to seriously smack him! To this day, if the movie comes on, and it's at the beginning, I'll slap both of my hands together as if I'm symbolically slapping Wilbur.

Wilbur did cry in the book, from loneliness, from hysterics on learning he was to be killed, and from sadness at the loss of Charlotte. It just seems like more in a movie because the movie was shorter.
