It still can make me cry.

Watched this movie again a couple of days ago on the satellite. I still cry when Charlotte dies.

This is the best work Hanna Barbera did.

I read Joseph Barbera's biography. E.B.White gave him a personally edited copy of Charlotte's Web to use as a guide for making the film. Mr Barbera said it was a prized posession of his, and that they did their best to include as much from the book as was possible.

I ran the 2006 version in a theatre. It's nothing compared to this film.

If you havent seen this since you were a kid, then, give it another chance. It's worth it, for sure.

FWIW: I didnt like this film in 1973, either. I was 17, and it bored me.

I watched it again in 1980, and loved it.

Truly an underrated gem! I remember rewatching this after a few years' hiatus and being shocked at the Hanna-Barbera credit during the opening, because this simply is nothing like their usual cheap gag-heavy fare.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
