can you name this 'similar' film ?

Another one of those name that movie quests. I remember seeing a made for TV (US) movie in the 70's and I'd dearly like to know what movie it was. It's driving me nuts.

The plot has a couple driving across the desert and checking into a large Hotel, apparently in the middle of nowhere. In the main hall, a lottery is going on with guests coming up to the stage when their number is drawn.

Soon after checking in the husband vanishes, and nobody can remember him checking in, apart from his wife. She is also haunted by bad dreams/ half memories of a car crash.

I won't spoil the ending but it is supernatural and has a bit of a twist which you can probably guess from my description.

I'm pretty sure this is not "DYING ROOM ONLY" which is often suggested and is similar in some elements though I don't believe it's supernatural .

Now it could be that this not strictly a movie and perhaps an episode from a US mystery series.

Any suggestions ?

I can go one better and name the drama, It is from the series ghost story aka circle of fear 1972 - the episode is called time of terror.

Almost a year with a reply, but you are thinking of an episode from the TV series "Circle Of Fear" aka "Ghost Story" with Sebastian Cabot.

The name of the episode is "Time Of Terror".
