What I would like to know (and the review doesn't mention) is whether the DVD has the full length version of "The Arena". It's listed with a runtime of 90 minutes at IMDB. There is a version streaming on Amazon, but it runs only 80 minutes, and seems like one of those typical choppily edited US versions.

shareThanks. I wrote Shout Factory to see if they could provide the runtime for their version on that DVD. Maybe the 90 minutes listed at IMDB is wrong.
shareUpdate: Reply from Shout indicated the run time on their DVD is 81 minutes, 32 seconds. So probably the same as your Italian DVD. They also provided the below review link which is about the version they sell:
