I lived in a small California town in '62 and had no desire to get out. It was a better world in many ways, and constantly improving. The things that still needed fixing could have been remedied while retaining what was good, rather than destroying everything.

Cultural homogeneity, despite the limitations, is superior to the shit-show America is today. In this aspect diversity is a weakness, not a strength.

Indeed. I'd love to get in the car and just "cruise." The popular boardwalks and places like that in my area all have signs saying "NO CRUISING." What is this world coming to?

At least the Vietnam War was a much better excuse for protest. Today the protests are mainly based on political motives, media disinformation, and racial bigotry from nominally moderate Democrats and the hateful socialists whose asses they kiss.
