Looked Dangerous
Every time I see this movie and the scene comes up where Streisand is on the bike and O'Neal jumps on the bike when it's moving, I can't help but think that this was a very dangerous stunt for them to be doing.
shareWhen the guy jumps over the fence to escape the garbage cans, he lands on his back on a table. I just cringe. Looks like a stunt that went wrong.
Everything else is a hoot though.
Just finished the Streisand biography by James Spada. Quoting the assistant director on "What's Up, Doc?", there were stunt-doubles for the long shots on the grocery bike, but Streisand and O'Neal had to do the close-ups and medium shots themselves...and "she was not happy about this".
