After spending five minutes
In a corner drugstore with Judy Maxwell, I probably wouldn't need aspirin either.
I'm quite a lovely person - apart from my terrible taste in pie.

I used to watch this all the time growing up (I'm 24 now), I used to have such a crush on Barbara Streisand in this! LOL!
shareGod, the drugstore scene may be the funniest and most beautifully choreographed/timed sequences in this movie. I can watch it over and over and laugh every time.
Just about every single line makes me laugh:
"You're gonna need an awfully big glass of water to get that down."
"C'mon, buy her the radio Steve, it's on sale"
"How much is it without the buffering?"
Lines that wouldn't even have been funny in the script are made funny, as when Barbra responds to Howard with a mocking "How do you do?"
...and "OhHHHHH, look what happened!"
I think the entire movie is like that! Just "wam-bam" - one great one-liner after another. Madeline Kahn can sometimes make me laugh so hard I come close to vomiting!
shareMadeline Kahn was a comedy genius, plain and simple. I haven't seen the movie in probably close to 20 years (but I am seriously jonesing for it now), and I can hear Eunice, plain as day, whining "Howard" in that perfectly-Madeline voice that is instantly recognizable. RIP, MK. We'll not see the likes of you again for a long, long time.
shareThe whole cast was great even the minor parts such as the maid who shot the gun or the butler who still stay all prim and proper despite a huge fight going on in the room. Also love the guy doing the cement and the guy with who throws the shovel in the air when all the cars go under the dump truck dumping sand.
