Is this an "easy" film to watch?

I realize this is Tarkovsky we're talking about, so I know there will always be some who say they can't finish his movies (there's always a thread like that on every one of his film's message boards).

I guess this is more directed at those who are familiar with Tarkovsky's work.

Things to consider: Stalker is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I've recently seen both Andrei Rublev and Nostalghia, and even though I was a bit apprehensive at first regarding Rublev's content and running time, I found it rather easy to watch, time kinda flew by, although I'm certain Solonitsyn's acting and presence helped a great deal.

So how does Solaris compare, considering it clocks also at almost 3h? I will probably see this one in theaters, too.

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

Hell no! It's as dull, boring and incomprehensible as Stalker. Tarkovsky specializes in DULL.

Idk if you've seen it yet or not but I just finished it like ten minutes ago and out of the four Tarkovsky films I've seen (Ivan's Childhood, Andrei Rublev, Solaris, and Nostalgia) this is the second easiest, next to Ivan's Childhood. It's still very much a Tarkovsky film and it does require patience, but it's very rewarding. In fact, I think this is my favorite Tarkovsky film as of now.

Piece of cake.
