soundtrack

i'm wondering if all of the soundtracks for all four films are around

because just as a comparison, in a scene where snoopy is walking to go see lila
the score kinda is similar to the song i'm listening to which is the theme from johnny english, a man for all seasons
and i have a good ear, i can tell comparisons between the score in the scene with snoopy walking towards lila's in this film
and the theme in johnny english

maybe people could understand any comparisons between these two

I own the soundtracks to Snoopy Come Home & A Boy Named Charlie Brown. I'm not sure what other two films you're referring to, but let me know if you're interested in obtaining a copy of wither soundtrack. ralpheichenlaub@yah oo.com

i'm interested in those soundtracks and so is yukaunagi, but first i'm going to ask you a few questions of the origins of where these two soundtracks came from

here are your questions, and i want honest answers,

where did the soundtracks came from ?
did they come from ebay?
are they on compact disc or the original soundtrack LPs (Columbia Masterworks S-31541). Beautiful W-I-D-E stereo mixes.?

reply

The soundtracks did indeed come from E-bay. I have the originals on LP, but a friend of mine has a converter to record cds from LPs. While you still get the "record-player" noise that you would from playing a record, it's the closest thing to these soundtracks being released on CD, at least to my knoweledge. I had "Snoopy Come Home" done, however with "A Boy Named Charlie Brown", I have not had it done yet. Since the album is mostly Linus telling the story, I will just be taking the songs. As far as I know "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" is the only song from the album to be found on another Charlie Brown compilation CD. The LPs are authentic as I can tell. I don't think there's really a market for bootleg vinyls. I think somebody just owned them and didn't want them anymore. As far as the Columbia Masterworks S-31541 Beautiful W-I-D-E stereo mixes question, I afraid I'm not familier with that terminology, so perhaps you could suggest where to find that if it's specifically marked on the album or not. Well those are my honest answers. Any other questions e-mail me. [email protected] or im me WCUPHI144

Columbia Masterworks is the original label that the soundtrack was on, S-31541 was the catalog number, and it was a beautiful sounding album with wide (read: spacial) stereo mixes, unlike the flat mono film soundtrack. The terminology did not refer to any sort of special pressing of the original LP.

I think the odds of this ST ever being released on CD are slim to none....Geez..we don't even have the DVD yet!

How can you even have Snoopy Come Home soundtrack? I type it in, or click and paste in the search box at Amazon.com, and they can't eve find it, I'm assumming that you are talking about the cd of this movie, but if you are talking about it on film, I have good news, they do have it on video there, there are 2 copies, one of which that you can only be able to get from their marketplace, but the only one they have in stock.
