what was the original Aspect Ratio of Snoopy Come Home? Was orignally a Fullscreen or a Widescreen Film
shareI'd like to know this too, since it was originally screened in theaters (so it should be filmed in widescreen, right?).
shareWell, the film is being released in 16x9 Widescreen... so I guess that answers that question.
shareI don't know about the original aspect ratio, but if you look at an old VHS-rip that's 4:3 and the released 16:9 (not 16x9), you can see they CROPPED the 4:3 version to make it 'nice and neat' 16:9 with LOTS of visual data missing.
This points towards the original either being 4:3, or there being another aspect ratio (16:9 is very unlikely anyway) that the 4:3 is a cropped result of. But if THAT's the case, then why all the data loss in every single 16:9 version I have ever seen?
All the 16:9-versions I have seen, suffer from visuals being cut from top and bottom from the (at least more) original 4:3 version.
So I don't know what you really base your guess on, but it's clearly wrong or at least very likely wrong.
