What is the song called...
What is the song that the sick girl in the hospital sings? I think it may be titled "Wish you were here". Does anyone know if it's available on CD anywhere? That was one of the most moving songs I have ever heard!

shareIt's simply called "Lila's Theme". It's more commonly referred to as "Do you remember me" I own the entire soundtrack.
shareYou and your "entire soundtrack". I hate you right now, you DO realize that, right? NOT REALLY, but I'd like to. Is the title track on there? I haven't seen this film in almost twenty years, but, now that I'm near thirty, I seem to recall that the title track sounds very much like the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations". Am I right in assuming this or am I not even close?
Moe - "Are you nervous kid?"
Shemp - "Only in that leg."
wtf...the entire soundtrack? Were you able to make it yourself or did you buy it? And can you pls tell me the name of the song that's playing when Charlie wakes up in the middle of the night and takes a bowl of food to Snoopy's but then realizes that he's not even there, etc? It's that really sad, depressing one...and I know it starts off as "just...when you think...sumthin sumthin sumthin...you had the world in your hands" and ends with "why o why" Charlie B: "you know what I need...I need more hellos".
Gawd...that's depressing just to think about it...
"Hated by fools and fools to hate. Be that my motto and my fate."
Hmmmm, yukaunagi, didn't we have this conversation two years ago when I offered you the soundtrack. It's a little of both how i acquired the soundtrack, I bought the LP off of e-bay and was able to convert it onto cd. The name of the song you're searching for is "It Changes". Regardless of the fact that the movie is labeled as a children's movie, the words speak EXACTLY to what we all face one time or another of how when we think everything is finally going great, something comes along and changes everything.
shareWait a sec... (looking back at old comments)
OMG...you did. Awww, I can't believe you remembered that! But there was a reason I couldn't contact you with IM. I don't know wtf it was, but something didn't work right. (probably something I did)
I bought the movie a few days ago...however 2 years later and I still wouldn't mind having the soundtrack.
And you're exactly right, although it's considered a children's film, even as adults we can relate to that song. (hm..i.e. this past summer. Mine at least)
"Hated by fools and fools to hate. Be that my motto and my fate."
Yes i have the impeccable ability to remember the most trivial of things.
E-mail me at [email protected] if you want to talk more about getting a copy of snoopy come home.
It's the better cartoons, that have situations/humor in it, that can transfer from childhood to adulthood.
shareI know that I'm replying to an old post, but I have wanted to find this song for years!!!
I believe the lines that have been etched in my mind all these years are:
"Why... do the things... that I love... al-ways leave,
why... am I al-ways a-lone?"
Can I get a copy of this soundtrack too? And information like singer, writer, etc.
I realize now that I grew up with depression. We moved a lot, I had an abusive step dad, several mean teachers who had no clue about ADHD kids, a series of bullies who sent me home crying every day, etc.. This song (if I have the correct one) was strangely comforting to me as a kid. When the deep loss of a friend, pet, or relative would come around, I could sing this song and cry. I could never find the words, or a understanding adult to talk to about how I felt. But the words of that line gave me a voice and words to speak out my pain. Still to this day I sing it. I discovered today, that an acquaintance of mine had killed herself. I started searching for that song on Google, and here I am!
Michael
Hey Michael. Are you speaking of the song during the scene where Charlie B. can't seem to sleep and constantly thinking about Snoopy? If so that one is called "It Changes". Till this day that song still has an affect on me. Maybe cus there's still times in life where I can relate to it. Anyhoo, you should definitely buy the movie too. As far as the soundtrack goes, ask evilrepublicanralph. He bought the LP a while back and converted it to cd. He's on the first page of this thread. PM him and see if he can help you out!
"Hated by fools and fools to hate. Be that my motto and my fate."
Another soundtrack question.
Where can I find it?
