WORST SNOOPY FILM YET!!!
Well, in case if you want to know my opinion. I love Snoopy. Peanuts is one of the top cartoons of all-time. In fact, Snoopy is my hero. Going into this film, this is the worst Snoopy film. Who would agree?

I liked it overall but I was just watching it and Snoopy is sure one angry dog in the beginning!! He beats up Linus because he wouldn't give him his blanket (so, attempted robbery, pretty much) and then he goes and fights Lucy! Just kind of uncharacteristic of him. I love the whole Woodstock and Snoopy travelling together bits, however. Buddies on a road trip of sorts, just kind of cool to see.
shareWhere Lucy is concerned, Snoopy did not instigate the fight, like he did with Linus; Lucy did. And I think she got what she deserved, since she has been quite bossy. Of course, she can dish it out, but can't take it one bit.
"Mark well me words, mateys: Dead men tell no tales!"

I really don't like this film. Just very unpleasant, and Charlie Brown is absolutely horrible.
shareI don't think this the worst Snoopy film ever made, since I saw this when I was 5 on the Disney Channel. Now i'm 25 years old and very surprised that nobody did not complain about the scene where Snoopy gets picked up by that psychotic little girl who bathes him in hot water, chained him up to a fence, including getting spanked because he messed up the dress while playing Tea Time, which was that little girl's fault who overflowed the teacup while pouring it. But I find that scene funny.
shareI like it because it shows one fact that happens in some people's lives... Besides... It makes you realize just how much you really do love them after they are gone... Seems silly, but it is true...
I love You Peter Tomarken! I will miss you always... You will never be forgotten....
It actually is pretty dark and gloomy and harsh for a Peanuts film. Lots of uncomfortable situations that weren't the least bit funny.

This film is great because it causes painful emotions. It is the one children's film that I am glad was dark. It has so many powerful metaphors that it really needed to be gloomy for the proper effect. It was a ballsy move to make a Snoopy movie like this, but I think it worked despite all of the negative comments. No one likes to go through situations like that and it shows through the negative comments made about it. Everyone should watch this film twice, once as a child and again as an adult. Many people may disagree with my stance on Snoopy Come Home, but I think it is probably one of the better Peanuts films made.

I love it because it's darkly hilarious.
Truly Happy Mondayed.
i agree. i hated it as a kid and still hate it after just having given it another go. it's boring and rather pointless. there's basically no character development as in other charlie brown movies and the story overall feels as if they stretched it like gum just to reach feature length
shareWhat? There's plenty of character development with the emotions that the characters experience throughout the film and the way the cope with their feelings. There's also more than enough story to fill up the plot for an 80-minute movie.
To simply dislike this movie because it's pointless, and boring unlike most of the other peanuts; cartoons seems rather shallow. It's different and that's why I like it so much. My only problem with the movie is that it probably should have been rated PG instead of G. But it was released during a time when many G-rated films had surprisingly dark subject matter.
did i ever state that i disliked the movie because it was darker than other peanuts episodes? did i even imply it? no i didn't. if you want to debate my point of view then please come forward with some specific examples instead of just objecting and making up stuff

Actually, you didn't. If you had leveled that objection, it would've at least amounted to an opinion backed up by something other than the bland generalizations that you gave. Your criticisms sound typical of a random idiot who didn't actually watch the film, totally lacking in specificity. Now before your sensitive a$$ gets all whiny about being misinterpreted, note that I'm NOT saying that you didn't watch the movie. I am saying that your dull, vague criticisms sounded like standard troll drivel. Your writing and communication skills really stink. And give some consideration to using this wild new thing called "capital letters." It'll help convince people that you're not an illiterate.

Hey. I made a little mistake. Let's make a big deal about it and be geeky a-holes!
shareIt was very bad, but so were all the Peanuts films ("Race for Your Life," "Bon Voyage," ad nauseum) that followed. I definitely felt that Schulz sold out on his standards, starting with this one.
shareIt's the only Snoopy film. The rest of them are supposed to be about Charlie Brown. I think that Snoopy Come Home can tie with Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and don't come back!) as the two best Peanuts-related films.
