I think it would have been more interesting to have seen a gradual change from savages to civilised ,they just know how to dress,groom,cook and of course speak correctly in a very short time span. nicely filmed ,just needs subs for the german narration.

And maybe it would have been better if they were "unsophisticated" but decent, then living in the mansion made them more uncaring, unkind, more "savage". Now it's very cliché.

But it wasn't made now. It was made nearly 50 years ago.
