Italian or english

I can understand Italian and I was wondering what language it is better in. I know that half of the actors speak Italian and the other half English and then dubbed accordingly.

The English dub isn't horrible, but like just about all Italian movies dubbed into English, it could have been a bit better in many areas. Still, the dubbing's not half as goofy as Contraband's.

I have the Anchor Bay DVD, and it's a shame the original Italian isn't featured with subtitles. That would have been awesome. Is there a DVD release out there with the original Italian dialogue? No doubt that's the definitive way to see this movie.

Hi IlCapoSiciliano!

Do you understand all the regional dialects?

If so you should get the Italian version, it contains many nuanced jokes and tricks with dialect. You know city/rural, rich/poor. If you're Italian or knowledgable in Italian history etc. I'm sure you know what I mean;-)

It's an even more detailed film when watching it in Italian.

I always watch Italian movies with the English dub if available.

Most of them were made with an English dub in mind, for international audiences.

I watch some of these movies with subs and some with the English dub. This one I watched with the English dub. They were always dubbed anyway, even in Italian. I've read that they didn't even have microphones on set for most of them.
