Does anyone know where that stretch of road is located? It looks like it would be amazing to drive along! i've tried searching google maps around the filming location but to no avail. help! :-)

I watched the Shameless DVD a couple of days ago and had a go at trying to find the viaduct. It wasn't easy, but I'm pretty sure it's the Viadotto di Pietrasecca on the Autostrada A24 (Roma-L'Aquila) in the Abruzzo region - so not in the South of Italy which is what I had thought.
Here's an overhead view where you can also see the overbridge from which the shot of the Fiat 500 approaching over the viaduct and then disappearing into the tunnel entrance was taken:
