Was this rated R when it was first
released or was it PG?
I'm asking because it seems that
MGM has released PG dvd editions
of Charles Bronson films that were
originally rated R.
(I'm kind of surprised what they
could get away with in PG films
in these days!)
I've always heard it was PG.

I was 10 when this came out and we went to see this movie as a family. My younger brother and I were not allowed to see R rated movies when that movie came out. I remember talking about the movie with other kids at school who saw it. Very few parents allowed their kids to see R rated movies in those days. I remember that most of my friends saw this movie at the time (it was a big hit when it came out.) It was a PG.
People forget what a big star Bronson was in the day. He was huge back then.
