The only problem with this film is....
The ending. It was too abrupt.
You've fallen in love with all the things in life that destroy men!

SPOILERS !!!
Well...there is nothing left to go to...everyone is dead. Except Jill Ireland and "The Man" (The syndicate boss who always calls on Bronson)
As well ....back in the seventies it looks like all the cast, crew and production credits are at the start of the film
they still couldve ended better and i am sure many would agree. It was such a slow moving film for it to out of a sudden end didnt make sense. it kept me wondering if i got a bad version or something.

The only problem with this film is the bad acting. I mean, i know it was made in the 70's, but jesus christ man.. The acting is horrendous!

So, according to this kids logic, the older the movie it is, the worse the acting will be?" HAHAHAHA...
The only part I had a problem with is when they are shooting at one of the motorcycle guys, he is running and when he reaches his motorcycle he takes five to ten seconds to put the helmet on. Safety first...
sharethats the only problem? how bout them going against about 20 guys in a open shooting and coming out a life without a scratch?
this movie had many stuff like that. cant believe you only that was the only problem. lol.
You've fallen in love with all the things in life that destroy men!
If you mean the scene in Naples, they shot only 3 guys, the rest were killed with explosive. Two professional hitmen against 3 mafia guys, it's not so unrealistic, and they surprised them with the explosive in the car.
Don't get me wrong I am not saying that everything else is realistic, I just mentioned the scene that was, in my opinion, totally unnecessary.
This movie is preposterous. A fast money-maker. Here we have Bronson he'll pull the older audience in, and here we have Jan-Michael Vincent, he'll pull in all the girls. We'll put them in nice houses, and locations like a club, a restaurant, a zoo, and patch together an action scene in Napoli.
All would be forgiven, except it's soooo boring to watch. Makes me think that the remake would be an improvement by default.

All movies featuring people killing each other are preposterous.
The 1972 "older" audience did not give a rat's ass about Bronson. He was never a big star until he was over 40. He was a member of the Magnificent Seven, Dirty Dozen, and the Great Escape, but none of those films boosted his solo career.
The film is only boring to people who don't what the movie is really about. And what it is about is the philosophy of Existentialism. In the early 1970's the only "action" movies featured either Kung Fu fighters, Bikers, Cowboys, or James Bond.
I disagree, perfect 70's movie with excellent action, character developement (something missing in most action movies today) and one of the best endings in history. I like Jason Statham, but he's got his work cut out for him.
Do you understand the words that I am saying to you?
Okay, that's just my opinion. I think I'm mostly repelled by the way the material was handeled, rather than by the subject matter itself. The scene with Bronson and his wife was the best thing about this movie. And who exactly were they up against anyway?
P.S. I brought the remake up just as an example, I don't intend it to be superior, but I won't be surpised if it will.

Now THAT is a preposterous question.
If you mean the guidos who try to snuff Arthur and Steve in Italy, they were just local Mafia talent hired for the hit.
