Can You Believe It?This Movie Is Playing On Regular Television Right Now

I happened to be flipping through the tv and when I went to the channel This tv network,I thought I was seeing things, but they had the original Last House On The Left playing on there. Now I just figured with the nature of this film, how could something like this even be edited enough to show on television.I'm not a fan of this movie really, but I was still shocked as hell to see it on regular television.Well they're showing alot of blood shots, but they did edit out the rape.I always thought that this was one of those films along with the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre,Evil Dead 1 & 2,Silent Night,Deadly Night, and I Spit On Your Grave would never air on regular television, but now who knows.I do know that the original Chainsaw,Last House, and Evil Dead films have aired on IFC,but that channel is like a pay channel with commercials, same as Turner Classic Movies channel, but they still aren't basic cable or even basic regular over the air channels.I guess anything is possible, nowadays.

It's not really surprising. You can show almost anything on regular cable TV nowadays. I predict that in about 10 years or so, censorship will be a thing of the past and people will be able to say and do anything they want on television. Characters will be able to say as many curse words, kill as many people in as many violent ways as they want, and be nude onscreen for an entire episode without it being censored.

Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.

Of course. Younger generation is often shocked as to what and why is something being censored and for who? Even 8 year olds know everything what they're trying to censor

South Park and Family Guy are airing on regular television right now, too. Those shows have been on television since the 1990's and they're far more violent, offensive and crude (and annoying and stupid) than Last House on the Left could ever be (but I like LHOTL). I don't agree with anything like that being up where children could come across it by chance, but this is also a century where it's becoming common to see five-year-olds with their own I-Phones and where television commercials are starting to use crude humor. It's sad, but I agree with horror2, soon censorship will be a thing of the past. I love horror films but I'd never show them to children the way television does. :(

You know what: GOOD! Good riddance, censorship is a very evil thing and it needs to die. The whole thing about children seeing this type of content on TV is a cop out and always has been, it's the responsibility of the parents to monitor what their kids watch not the TV networks nor the movies/violent games/pornography etc. Why do parents rely on strangers/censors to parent or monitor their kids when they(parents) are the ones who need to do the censoring if they feel the content is objectionable, I just don' get it! Be an adult and decide for yourself what your kids can watch, it's not that fuckin' hard....jeez! Censorship can go suck a horse cock! 'Nuff said.

It should not die. There are some things that kids should not be subjected to.

Well, then parents should be more responsible and turn it off. It's that simple. Or put a block on the TV for certain channels or programming, we have the tech now.......this isn't the 20th century. Adults should never be censored just because of someone's irresponsibility as a parent to keep their kids from certain things on TV. It's all common sense. Censorship is never the answer. Yes, it needs to die and people need to quit being so lazy with their kids. The TV shouldn't be doing the parenting, this is ridiculous. I will not support a nanny state.
