Is this the First Buddy Cop Movie Ever Made?

I dont think you can call The French Connection a buddy cop movie.

Can anyone think of another buddy cop movie that came before this one?

Also I have to say this is pretty violent for a Bill Cosby movie.

There are many who claim that I Spy was the model for every buddy cop movie, and there is a lot of evidence.So in a sense yes, but then again no.

They are both cops, work together, cover each other ass
