The guns

Anyone know what brand and model guns Hickey & Boggs had? All I rember is they had extra long barrels.

Robert Culp's character, Frank Boggs, carries (I'm almost certain) a Smith & Wesson Model 27 with a 8 3/8 inch barrel (.357 magnum). In some shots you can get a pretty good side profile and the revolver has the shorter cylinder of the Model 27 as well as the distinctive tapered barrel of the Model 27.

Not sure about Cosby's character Hickey.

However in review it might be a Smith & Wesson Model 29 (44 magnum) with the 8 3/8th inch barrel.

Sorry.

Hickey's gun is a .38 Colt Police Postive with a 6 inch barrel.

It is a model 29 (Not a 27) When he first gets it out he also pulls out a box of 44 ammo.

Hickey uses both the S&W Model 29 and the Colt. See imfdb.

Yes. I've seen the movie.
As was mentioned above Hickey's gun is the Colt and Boggs is the S&W. Hickey used Boggs' gun on one occasion.

I figured that. I provided the link so as to avoid any future arguments. Also thought that there might be folks who would like to see some screencaps of the movie.
