Thats gotta be the most f ucking cool line in any movie EVER. And I think it works best just because of the relationship between the two. And its delivered perfectly

shareI first saw this movie when I was a kid. I watched it with my dad (he was a hard core McQueen fan). When this part came on, he turned into a giddy little kid, saying how great that line is and now it's kind of an inside joke between us (my siblings don't really enjoy the same kind of movies). When we are driving together one of us will undoubtedly say "Punch it baby" and everyone looks at us weird.
I love that a movie can link two people like that, every time I watch Steve McQueen I think of my dad.
