Simular to The Killing. 1956 Noir

There are alot of simularities between this film and a 1956 sleeper, The Killing with Sterling Hayden and directed by Stanley Kubrick. From the racetrack robbery to a very different ending than The Getaway. If anyone gets a chance check this on out.

I agree. Despite a few major differences, they reminded me of each other.

"You gonna bark all day little doggie, or are you gonna bite?"

Haven't seen The Killing yet, but Jim Thompson wrote the screenplay (he wrote the novel The Getaway), so that's not too surprising.

good call Bunnymen, I just learned that last week, and was gonna say the same thing; just started reading Thompson, saw 'The Killer Inside Me' (the new one) and am reading 'The Getaway' right now. Got 'The Killing' sitting here right now, gonna watch it right away based on this post.

"Like the Kling-Klang King of the Rim-Ram Room!"

Now that you mention it I can see similarities between the two. But I perfer The Killing.
