Why wasn't bank guard's gun moved?
These are supposed to be pros-why leave pistol within arms reach? I know it's just a movie, but....
I have not failed, I've found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I thought the same thing as I was watching it. It was one of those cases where I was getting annoyed at how stupid the characters were acting.
It was just clumsy screenwriting. They should have had the guard be disarmed of his main gun at the start of the robbery but he has a second concealed firearm that they never noticed, he pulls the gun out and gets shot for it. That would have been better than how it played out in the film.
I think the point was that they WEREN'T smart (or at least Jackson) and Doc noticed this on talking to them on the boat earlier but was stuck with them since they were forced on him by Beynon (hence why Jackson was stupid enough to leave the gun close enough to the guard in the bank)
shareagreed. your suggestion would've worked better---leaving the gun so close to the guard was just not believable. And they take their masks off walking out the bank door...but I think that was a dramatic note of 'end scene'.
