... but around this time many Alistair McLean adaptions had been commercially successful films. Barry Newman was hot property after Vanishing Point. So you'd think the producers may have dipped their hands into their pockets, deeper than they have clearly done, because this looks and feels like a very cheap piece of work. Weak action set pieces and special FX, combined with very ordinary acting from the 2 leads, though Kendall doesn't have much to do apart from let out a scream, every now and then. The most interesting aspect, IMO, is seeing Ben Kingsley's film debut, complete with head of hair.🐭
