An extra skit in some European versions?

Just curious if anyone has seen this (or if it is even true).

I read somewhere that in some European prints, an extra segment called "What is a homosexual?" is available. It has something to do with woody dressed as a spider. In the trivia section here it says it was cut because he couldn't find an ending but on other sites they claim it was cut from the american versions and included in a few European versions.

Also heard he was talked out of doing a sketch about a character from the old testament who is a chronic masterbater. Woody wanted to play the role himself.

a character from the old testament who is a chronic masterbater.

Onan? I guessing that's Onan.

But I have no idea what spiders have to do with homosexuality.

Some smart, some don't.

I've seen the movie in a European version, and the "What is a homosexual?" sketch wasn't in this version.

I believe that the title was "What makes some men homosexuals?" The basic skit is Louise Lasser and Woody are spiders in a web. They have sex, and she eats him. Then we see that this is all being watched through a microscope by a scientist (Woody Allen). His secretary (Lasser) comes into the room, and is obviously coming on to him. He rejects her, speaking in a campy, "gay" voice. I have read that it was cut because it "didn't work." Another possibility as that they were worried it would come off as too homophobic, as the gay rights movement had become widely known.

The other scene, about Onan, was written, but not filmed, reportedly.

Does anyone know if there is a European DVD or Video with the spider scene?
