Italian Segment
I'm assuming that there is supposed to be subtitles with this segment.
If that's true, than I'm very pissed that my goddamn DVD doesn't have any. That language menu is doing absolutely nothing!

The Italian segment does have subtitles. Never mind the DVD menu; you need to preset your player with your DVD remote to show English subtitles, and they will display.
This is the only segment that does have subtitles in English; however, for those who may be hard of hearing, all the other segments (but not this one) have Closed Captions in English, which are accessible with your TV remote. So you should set up your player and TV to display both subtitles and captions. If you're watching on a computer, access will depend on the program being used for viewing.
