She might just be fat.

She was pregnant, he tried to keep her alive so he had like his own small family but she died due to the living conditions and diet.

A clever person knows all right answers...A wise person knows all the right questions...

I LOVE the line Rory Calhoun's character says at the end: "I...I...I used preservatives!"

***Spoiler Alert***

For those who haven't seen the movie Motel Hell (1980), At the end of the movie, "Vincent Smith" (Rory Calhoun) had just received a lethal wound/injury and was about to die.

Vincent mumbles about "being a fraud" and a "hypocrite". And when I first saw this movie, I got the impression that he was finally going to confess to murdering people and using them for MEAT.

But nooooo! He was actually confessing that the meat (slaughtered humans) he served wasn't all natural, and he had used additives!!
