Does anyone else remember Snoopy and Woodstock eating a turkey in the
ending credits? When it 1st aired I certainly remember both of them
eating turkey in the ending credits as my brother remarked "Woodstock
is a cannibal, he ate bird". I just viewed it and Snoopy & Woodstock
were eating pie at the ending credits.
Yeah they shortened it up so they could cram in more advertising. It is a perfect example of what has gone wrong with the world today.
I always enjoyed the end credit sequence because Snoopy and Woodstock got to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner topped off with a tasty slice of pumpkin pie...
I remember Woodstock eating turkey, too. When I first saw this show years ago, I thought it seemed kind of odd since he is also a bird.
It's not unusual today for networks to edit scenes or mess with the playback speed just to add another 30 seconds of commercial time. In this case, I wonder if "political correctness" might have been a factor: make sure there are no scenes that might be construed as cannibalism or whatever.
I believe programs should not be tampered with.
I have the VHS tape for this and they show both Woodstock and Snoopy eating turkey, and then as the credits come to an end, they start eating a big pumpkin pie.
