Original script - missing text in translation?

I saw the Czech version of this great movie. I was looking for subtitles on the web since I was interested in some of the jokes in English. I found out that there's a part of the text missing - probably it's in Italian and it was no one's intention to translate it (the dubbed Czech version was, but into Czech).

It is the scene when they meet the coroner outside the morgue. Can anyone please transcribe it for me? (see below)

IIRC the missing part is when the coroner arrives and makes a song and dance in Italian about why he's late. It remains untranslated because Armbruster didn't understand any of it, either.

BTW, this is just a subtitles file, not an original script. If anyone has the script I'd like to hear it.

Haha - I completely don't understand that at all (probably how it is layed out) but if anyone does have the script, I'd love to see it also as I love this film!

What don't you understand, Sugar? If it's the dialogue zemcik included, that's part of a subtitle file. Each subtitle is numbered and indicates from what time till what time in the film it is to be displayed. VLC media player can overlay these subtitles with the video. Which is a whole lot better than the way DVD includes subtitles (i.e. not as text). The good thing about subtitles as text is that they are searchable, so you get to the exact time cue where a certain shot takes place.

Oh yes, I see now. The numbers side to each other (separated by the arrows) is how long it takes for each line to be said. I think?

That's right. E.g. the line "has dropped 14 1/2 points." is shown for 1.9 seconds.

I watched the DVD again, with subtitles on, and they show the Italian dialogues as well!

Scusate, ma il traffico era pazzesco.

Signor Mattarazzo, le presento il signor
Armbruster e la signorina Piggott.

sono quelli dell'incidente.

i suoi voleri misteriosi.

Translation (finally 5 years of Italian in night school pays off ):

While Clive Revill as Carlo Carlucci (who's from New Zealand) speaks English with an Italian accent in the film, Federica says he speaks Italian with an English accent.

Many thanks. I was mainly interested in the "God acts according to
his mysterious wishes." part, which was, as I can see now, translated into Czech slightly differently and I was not able to reproduce it in English word-by-word.
(The paths of Lord are unpredictable/unforeseeable/mysterious...)
