'1776' the comic book!

Probably the movie you'd least expect to have a comic book adaptation but it exists. I bought a copy on ebay a couple years ago. Released in 1972 it was a tie-in to the movie. It's pretty bad. The art is all over the place. Dickinson changes appearance twice, from what he looks like in the movie to a white haired fellow. Adams and Franklin and I think Jefferson (haven't browsed it in a while) are the only characters who remsemble their film counterparts. Kinda funny...

I bought it as a child when the movie came out. Still have it. Very rare, indeed, for there to be a comic book edition of a less-than-hit film -and a musical no less! The text quotes the film, including the lyrics of the songs.
