shareIt's actually GOOD for people: when I was in my teens I watched it and became interested in History: wound up getting a Minor in it later on.
Then last year we lost cable after the Hurricane. For days and days it was one DVD after another. When "1776" was on my son saw it, now he's fascinated with the History of the American Revolution.
A sense of History is essential to the well being of democracy: it's the set of examples people take with them into the voting booth.
It's the set of bad past experiences being whispered into one ear while some Politician is lying into the other.
