Funniest P.A. Announcements

The first was from the 'Officers Only' episode:

Attention, all officers.
Gen. Maynard Mitchell will officially open the officers'club at 2100 hours today.
For the enlisted personnel, there will be a special screening in the mess tent of an animated VD Cartoon, Hansel and Regrettal.

Nice play on 'Hansel and Gretel' and Klinger's expression was priceless.

The announcement from 'Dear Dad' was also funny,

The following men have volunteered for this afternoon's ten-mile physical fitness hike...........

reply

Attention, all officers. Please report to the new commanding officer's office, sirs.
I wonder how many takes it took Gary to do this.

reply

Attention. Captain Alvin Mercer leaves for a honeymoon in Tokyo at oh-nine hundred hours. Any nurse wishing to be the bride please contact the captain. No experience necessary.

reply

Will Doctors Pierce and McIntyre kindly return to the conference. They need your money.

reply

I can't remember it exactly, but it was about the yacht race and the winner was a carved pound cake, but the race ended early due to an undertow in the cesspool. I think it was in "The General Flips at Dawn."

"...What does it matter?"
Hillary Clinton will never be POTUS.
That's what matters.

reply

I also liked this announcement made by Henry; "tonight's movie is a double feature, Godzilla vs The bobby-soxer, plus Ma & Pa Kettle have a baby"..

reply

Of course, Godzilla came out in 1954 so I'm not sure why the writers would already have a sequel being announced

reply

In "Movie tonight" Radar does a John Wayne impression from a movie that didn't come out until 1960-something...

but we digress

reply

My mistake, that wasn't an announcement but from a paper on Radar's clipboard when Gen. Steele ("that's 3 e's, not all together") was sending down his list of changes.

"...What does it matter?"
Hillary Clinton will never be POTUS.
That's what matters.

reply

It was still hilarious.

That wasn't even from a paper, it was from an episode with the movie "My Darling Clementine", That movie broke down and they all did impressions, Radar's was of John Wayne as "McClintock"

....If I die before I wake, I pray the lord that my internet history is clear

reply

From the "Dear Dad" Christmas episode, when they're announcing the party for the orphans:

Santa will be there. We can only hope he's sober.

reply

When the army claimed Hawkeye to be dead, they threw him a "wake"...
"..we will be mourning... all afternoon and evening."

"I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this."

reply

"...tonight's movie is moved to tomorrow.
It's the latest War Department film on the dangers of V.D.
Be sure to see it with someone you love."
