This was vintage Hawkeye being a total douche. Yes, he gives up drinking but then turns into a totally unlikable a-hole. It's just too bad that Shelley Long didn't stab him when she had the chance!

Just another excuse for Alda/Hawkeye to be centre of attention. Poor Hawk, he's the only one in a war zone, far from home!!

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.

Isn't the ep actually titled, "BOTTLE Fatigue"..?? And, yes, Hawk kept drinking, though at least he displayed some sort of willpower in this situation, by sticking to his sobriety through the conclusion.
