Tony Jaa should play Caine, he has a look that could pass for half Asian, half white, is an excellent martial artist and I think would be able to pull off the quiet dignity Caine had. He would be great but I've heard he doesn't have a desire to do American movies because he doesn't have the desire to learn english. A few years ago there was a computer-animated remake called Kung Fu 3D put on the net, in that version Caine was an American baby abandoned at the Saolin temple and raised by the monks. If the producers of the movie went that route then they could cast an American leading man in the role but I cringe at the possibility of Brad Pitt or Vin Diesel trying to play Caine. If this thing gets made I hope they use the original script for the pilot movie which was at least twice as long as the filmed version.
sharei dont think theres anyone who can play caine as good as david carradine..
kwai chang caine is a unique personality .. the only one who could play it well is perhaps jet li but he doesnt wanna do kung fu movies anyway.. or perhaps an unkown real shaolin monk?
