Last couple of times my sister and I have watched the Charlton Heston version of Ben-Hur, we've had an issue with Martha Scott (Miriam, mother of Judah): we keep waiting for her to call Chuck "Sonny"!

shareRichard, if you mean that Martha Scott played the mother of Moses (her character's name is "Yochabel") in The Ten Commandments--you're right! But she also played the mother of Judah Ben-Hur (her character's name is "Miriam")--check out the cast list if you don't believe me.
But now that you mention it, the last time you watched The Ten Commandments, when you saw Martha Scott (Yochabel), did you keep expecting her to call Moses "Sonny"?
Honestly, poor Martha Scott practically made a second career out of playing the mother of Charlton Heston...and she was only 11 years his senior!
At least she was a bit likelier to be the mother of Bob Newhart, being 17 years older than he.

She's also fantastic as Ellie Hilliard,the wife of Frdrric March's
