Christine Belford is attractive too, but I can't stand Carlie!
I've already mentioned 16 names, and I could keep on going. Lots of lovely women in this show. :)
Your list so much better than mine, why didn't I think of doing one for each episode. BTW, I'm assuming that Christine Belford would be the repesentive for Detour to Nowhere.
shareIndeed. She was a bit more likable in Detour. :)
shareI just noticed on your list you forgot the babe from "To Steal a King" and "The Vanishing Chalice". What, no love for any babes from those episodes?
share
Brenda Vaccaro? ("To Steal a King")
Aside from Ms. Belford, I don't remember any babes in "The Vanishing Chalice".
There was 2 from "Vanishing Chalice", Sybil or Cee Cee. Hey for the 70's they were fine.
Probably Lydia in her younger days was a babe, not in that episode of course. And Brenda Vaccaro is only a babe if you think someone who sounds like Raymond Burr is sexy.
BTW, why'd you change your handle?
Me?
I wouldn't want to be stranded on a deserted island with them. After two or three days, they be killed with the biggest rock I could find.
A worthy goal for men should be to find a woman who is better looking and more intelligent than they are.
Fortunately, I found a wife who takes care of both of those qualities.
I couldn't handle Cee Cee. That voice was almost unbearable. It seemed to reflect her intelligence. I wouldn't even wait for her to fall asleep to strangle her.. Take a look at Nedra Deen's profile [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2235661/?ref_=tt_cl_t14] - she didn't last too long after that episode of Banacek - died at the age of 38. She was also on Rockford, and her final appearance was on Ellery Queen, two weeks to the day before she died.
Sue Ann Langdon is rather cute, maybe not her Sybil character in this episode. I liked her when she played the wife on the show "Arnie". That's one of those sitcoms were the husbands is not really good looking and the wife is beautiful. Oh wait, that is every sitcom. ALMOST every sitcoms.
shareShe was drop dead gorgeous in "A Guide for the Married Man" with Walter Matthau--even looked better than Inger Stevens.
But yeah, she didn't look so hot on Banacek. Maybe because she was well above the average age of a Banacek babe (in her late 30's--still years younger than Peppard), so she suffers by comparison. And they did a terrible job with her wardrobe in that movie. Banacek didn't seem to mind--he saw potential there, and they had to give him somebody to drive off into the sunset with. Once those horrible clothes were off her, she probably looked great.

kinda harsh on BRENDA VACCARO, cind! (or maybe it's just that I AM a RAYMOND BURR fan! LOL)! Seriously, though, the young version of Ms. Vaccaro surprised me (pleasantly), and I'd forgotten what a serious, stone-cold FOX she was in her younger days! Ms. Vaccaro was quite beautiful, as was---somebody already mentioned---ANNETTE CARDONA (aka ANNETTE CHARLES) from "No Sign of the Cross", and the luminously beautiful, slammin'-bodied AHNA CAPRI, from the same episode!
shareSo wrong on Brenda Vacarro, sorry. Not only does she have a very cute body, face, and hairstyle in her episode, her voice is just low and sultry not full on gravel yet.
shareI didn't change my handle then, that was someone else who replied; But in the last eight years, I did change hotspurpagg to my current one, lol.
Yes, CeeCee is "the babe" for "Chalice," and, actually, Brenda V. is quite cute and likable in "King." So is Janis Paige.
Anitra Ford (later a model on The Price Is Right) was pretty sexy in her somewhat brief appearance at the beginning of the episode "Let's Hear It For A Living Legend."
shareLots of beautiful women in this series, I've noticed.
Too bad that there isn't more male eye candy for me! Oh well, I know exactly which seventies TV show to watch if I want eye candy....
~~
💕 JimHutton (1934-79) and ElleryQueen 👍
What, Thomas isn't eye candy for you? BTW, who was your eye candy?
Abandon all hope, ye who enter.
I don't find Banacek to be attractive. If I want eye candy, I can watch Ellery Queen and drool over Jim Hutton.

Now there's some dedication, Mrs. EQ!
To each their own I guess, but there's a reason that peanut-headed Jim Hutton was usually cast in comedic roles.
I think that Jim was very, very hot with beautiful eyes.
Jim Hutton = 💙💕💖💞

Was watching Let's Hear It for a Living Legend last night with Stefanie Powers.
Of course, a very pretty women, but while wearing something that could only come from the painted-on-70's, got up from a sofa to speak with Banacek all the while shot from the backside.
Holy God!
"Cheers. Yeah, just a sec. Is there an Ernie Pantuso here?"
"That's you coach."
"Speaking."
They're all good, of course... but here's one little shout-out for whoever's getting out of the car in the micro-dress during the opening titles. By 1973 that dress was probably two or three years past its shelf life, but still... whew!!
share"but here's one little shout-out for whoever's getting out of the car in the micro-dress during the opening titles. "
Yes definately!
There were many beautiful women in this show that never made it into the credits.
A few I remember were;
The driver for Felix Mullholland from The Three Million Dollar Piracy.
The showgirl in the black bikini who drives Banacek off in the sports car at the end of Now You See Me, Now Yo Don't.
The actress who played "Trinket" who asks Banacek if he plays guitar, from A Mllion The Hard Way.
(here I have to edit this. Trinket was played by an actress named Kathleen King. Credited as 1st girl)
"Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government."

By 1973 that dress was probably two or three years past its shelf life, but still... whew!!Yes, that micro-dress dates back to The Year Of Too Short (1970). Frame-by-frame analysis done by generations of pimply-faced teenage boys reveals that Limo Babe is wearing white underwear (visible when she steps up onto the curb). She gets out of the limo the 'wrong' way by not keeping her knees together, causing Jay the Chauffeur to raise his eyes to heaven, seeking God's forgiveness because of what he just saw. share
You're missing Brenda Vaccaro, and Margot Kidder.
BOTH major beauties and major film stars.
You're not even trying...
