When Mike TV jumped on the platform and asked to be sent by television why in God's name did the Oompa Loompas do it? Were they stupid?

Then Wonka and the Oompa Loompas would be taking part in the bad deeds of the bad children. And deliberately inflicting misery on them rather than them doing it to themselves by disobeying rules.
It would've been better if there had been a button Mike could press that would shrink him.
I think the TV Room segment is the weakest "bad child being punished" scene for this reason.

Yes, that is exactly what Wonka was doing. He chose the four worst kids he could find to get the golden tickets just so he could do this to them. share
