Walkabout vs Cannibal Holocaust

Am i the only one who found this movie more disturbing than CH ? There were insane number of REAL animal killings. That scary mating dance and those images of Aboriginal people exploited by whities, really had an upsetting effect on my mind.

CH was extremely graphic as well with that brutal tortoise killing and the impalement of the girl(fake) and all that.

Some people here may even flame me for the comparison, but to each his own.

It's certainly not Disney, although I think the most shocking part is when the father starts taking pot shots at his kids.

I didn't find walkabout quite as disturbing :)

Anyway I like the fact that I'm not the only one who see similarities in the two movies. I love them both and they somehow leave me with the same magical feeling after watching them.

Well, i am glad too see that i am not only one. However, i won't put Magical & CH in one sentence. :)

I wouldn't say Walkabout is more disturbing, but it's more layered and thought provoking. Cannibal Holocaust is an interesting spectacle, but it drives its themes home pretty hard. Walkabout has more subtle and complex ideas floating about, I think.
