I'm not sure if I should be proud or embarrassed...
...that I recognized the bits of Karlheinz Stockhausen's Hymnen in this film. For those who aren't familiar, it's an extended piece of electronic music composed in the mid 60's. You hear a little bit of it at the very beginning of the movie, and there's one or two other examples heard in other places of the film too.
At any rate, I used to borrow the old double LP copy of Hymnen that our public library had and listen to it when I was a teenager. It was one of the first examples of "serious" electronic music (not counting synth pop or "dance" music) that I had heard.
