Lady Godiva on the motorcycle...

In the desert, no shade, a black vinyl seat and a nude, honey-haired darlin'. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a recipe for toasted bunns or a couple other toasty parts? At least the original Lady Godiva had horsehair to sit on, which isn't the greatest thing to set a nubile hinie on, but it's better than blistering hot black vinyl.

She was one hot chick.

Temperature-wise, yes, she was scorching.

Your world must have very dry literature.

This movie wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great. They made a few mistakes and it was boring at times. There are three things that I liked really well. #1 is they used a Dodge Challenger. #2 is the nude girl riding around on the motorcycle. #3 is the scene where the hood flies off during the crash and it hits a couple of times on the highway. That worked out well.

Whats wrong with using a Dodge Challenger?

I always thought this car was a 440 not a 426. I still think that now, I don't think you're right about that.

reply

Yes, the Director of the film said Gilda Texter (the girl on the Honda) got seriously burned while making this film.

True.

Her role in films after VP? Costumer.

VP was not her first film. She was in a film in 1969, and 3 films in 1971.)

reply

It is ironic that in her first movie she was nude and then became a costumer. It is, however, not unusual that she was nude in her first film. It is very common for women to get nude in their first films as a way to break into movies.

Thanks for the info concerning the director's comments.

Just looked up Gilda Texter on imdb. She did 4 films as an actress. Her first film was in 1969.

reply

She was nude in three of the four, so the irony is even sweeter.

And she looked so "at ease" on the bike in the nude. I really can't imagine any one today looking as natural as she was at the time.
Standing there talking with Kowalski didn't bother her at all. The set was probably closed but I think it would not have mattered.

or better yet,

"Granny, was that you riding the motorbike with nothin' on?"

According to the DVD commentary. They had to pour cold water on the motorcycle seat before she could sit down. He also reported that she got bad sunburn on her vaginal area that at some point in time required a doctor to drain blisters there. In some scenes you kinda can tell that her shoulder is red, then later is not, so I guessed they used makeup to hide the red. And at times it seemed she had black thongs on her feet, then not when she drives away with her feet not on the bike.
