FIRST) this before Clear Channel so there wasn't that many radio stations out there, some markets could have dozenS AND other places have 3
SECOND) stations that had three call letters and by the way there was only a few, call superstitions superstitions could juice up their broadcast power shows to be heard three or four states, show travel across country with one station started to fade you would pick up another Superstition with 3 call letters in that area
THIRD) radio was considered low rent by the seventies so you could own a radio station and not really care what the DJ was doing or playing.... Supersoul works for some station in the middle of nowhere during the day, but at night that 3 call letter station turns up the juice and becomes a Super Station K.O.W!!!
