Katharine Hepburn's most underrated dramatic performance

Katharine Hepburn brings ancient Greek theatre to the movie screen, and really brings its authenticity with her own style. If anyone knows anything about Greek theatre, Hepburn calls on the ancestors, shakes to the ground, raises the natural voice to the heavens. She does it all. She is a theatrical goddess.

Totally agree with this. She should have also done Euripedes' Hecuba (as Hecuba naturally) on film. All later film portrayals of Hecuba will be measured up to her.

I tend to agree. This film is ignored, but Kate hits exactly the right note.
