I luved the sceen where they blew up the cop car

My favorite sceen was the one where they blew up the cop car. I mean think about this, the pigs are beating up sweetback in a field. The Corupt police chief tells them to seriously hurt him .
In the mean time, the ghetto kids in the hood are settng the cops up. Begging them to wash there car, the cop tells them to go away.
Then they decided, to take swetback some place where they can really hurt him !!!!!
I believe the kids where washing the car with gasoline, because when the pigs came walking up and threw sweetback in the car. The kids dropped there buckets and ran !!!!
when the maltoff cocktail hit the car, it went up in flames big time (way to easy for metal). Dont get me wrong I loved it !!!!!
I also dug the way one of the guys in the crowd ran buy the car (real quick like) and opened the back door. So sweetack could escape !!!
I noticed he was standing in the crowd, with his hand cuffs on watching the fire. Then he was sneaking into a man hole.
I assume that means he escaped through the sewer system. That also is way cool.
Escapes thanks to nieghborhood kids, red hot !!!!!!
I REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE COP CAR EXPLODE AND THE HOOD FLY OFF, I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE BEEN AT THE PREMIER !!!! I'LL BET THE CROWD WAS GOING CRAZY !!!! NOTHING LIKE THAT WAS EVER SHOWEN IN A MOVIE !!!!
What an amazing part of cinematic history !!!!!!!

That was such a beautiful sceen. There was nothing like that in movies, at that point in history.
I would have loved to be at that theater durring the premier, especialy with that all black audience. They must have been going nuts in the auditorium when that cop car caught on fire !!! Especialy with all the police brutality in the black community. What a cool moment in cinematic history. God, I wish I could have been there.
Did you know that the little girl who was saying that line in the movie.
Was Melvin Van Peebels daughter in real life.
I think the other one was his son.

I've heard people who went to see it say, the applause and cheers at that scene was overwhelming! Yes nothing like that had ever been shown before, blacks fighting back.

I would have loved to have seen this film in the theater when it first aired.
I would have loved to have been in a big theater in New York or Chicago.

I wonder what inspired Melvin to create this sceen in the film ?

I know they were filming this sceen in the film,
Melvin purposely did not show the fire fighters his permit to blow up the car.
He told his crew to keep filming no matter what happened because he needed the footage of the fire trucks etc.

The sceen is very interesting.
I was always curious if the black kids were in on the fire/explosion.
Was there gasoline in the buckets they were using to wash the car ?

I also thought it was interesting when a guy in the crowd ran buy and opened the back door of the cop car so SweetBack could escape.

Then it showed SweetBack kicking back in Hand Cuffs on the curb watching the fire. I'm not sure if that was because all the cops were confused in the choas
or what.

Later it showed SweetBack climbing into a man whole.
I believe that ment that Sweetback escaped through the sewer system.
A very cool and tricky escape.

I also liked the part where the chick agrees to cut him out of the hand cuffs,
if he has sex with her.
