Great movie!

"A Bay Of Blood" was a great movie! And its obvious how Friday The 13th was definitely influenced by this and paid homage. But also obvious how Friday The 13th Part 2 ripped this off quite a bit. This giallo mystery/thriller is really amazing, and definitely before its time! Even though most people watching it these days, not knowing better, probably would take it as a slasher film. But take it as giallo or as slasher, either way, this is a great movie!

I absoulutly loved it! Did anyone happen to see the documentary of Mario Bava before it on IFC? It was very interesting.

Definitely a huge influence on Friday the 13th. Besides just the slasher/body count connection, the use of location in friday the 13th was similar, skinny dipping, etc.

The Most obvious connection that I've haven't seen mentioned yet was the Kevin Bacon death in Friday the 13th when he gets the spear shoved through his neck from under the bed after sex. In Bay of Blood, the killer shoves the spear through two people having sex and through the bed.

I totally agree. And I loved the ending; it was beautiful poetic justice of the purest kind!
